Whirlwind Weekend

Ok…
So quite a lot has happened since I last wrote.
Last Friday, I asked to be laid off since it didn’t seem like management was going to get rid of me. I’m sure they weren’t so surprised considering what’s been going on with the company as of late. This Friday will be my last day, however, I don’t think I will stay that long because we probably won’t be getting paid for it anyway.
You can’t imagine the freedom I felt once I had done it. It was such a relief to finally know that my time at that hellhole was ticking and ticking fast.

This past weekend, I drove down to San Diego both to visit my brother and to go to one of my coworker’s party. It was refreshing to be away from LA for a while and far far away from work.
It was like a mini-vacation. We played tennis, vegged and watched movies: Bring it On, Mulholland Drive and Serendipity. All fun and light movies except for Mulholland Drive which baffled me. It was intense, intriguing and disturbing. I had a tiny inkling as to what the movie was about, but it helped a lot more when I read a synopsis of it later on.

Tony’s party was a lot of fun. We actually got there pretty late, but just in time for most of the fun to happen! Lots of jello shots, Smirnoff Ice, tasty nachos and funny swimming pictures :) Will post them soon. The party was going well until it was broken up by one of their neighbors calling the police. Turns out we were being too loud =X not everyone at the party… just us Aesop people haha

The countdown to freedom continues… two more days.
