We signed the final papers yesterday and it’s official. We have bought ourselves a condo =) it’s both exciting and scary at the same time. I don’t think I really grasped the the idea that I am finally moving into a place of my own. Not just a temporary home. Not a dorm room. Not an apartment. But an actual permanent home. This thought hit me just now as I was packing away my Sweet Valley Twin books (yes, I still have them. Not all of em though. Just 5.)

Unlike when I moved in to my tiny dormrooms at LMU and had to pack selectively, I now have to take EVERYTHING. I’ve already packed 20 big boxes. That’s right. You heard me. 20 big boxes. This doesn’t even include the various pieces of furniture I have: my bed, my computer, my dresser, my chest, my three cabinets, my desk and my chair.

We’re gonna need one BIG UHaul

Since our bank really screwed us over, we weren’t able to close escrow as quickly as we wanted to and now, we’re really pressed for time. And since all of my helpers don’t have a lot of free time, we’re aiming to both finish the flooring AND move THIS weekend. Sound insane? Yeah, it is.

I’m feeling quite stressed now as I still have a lot more packing and sorting to do by Friday along with other errands, like buying the materials for the flooring, etc. I’m getting tired just thinking of it.
