Without a Trace

Cheryl’s dessert party was AWESOME :)
Yummie sweets. Good company. What more can a girl ask for?
It was exactly what I needed after the week I had. We laughed until our sides hurt. We took silly pictures and ate lots n lots of yummie dessert. We commiserated with our respective love dilemmas, and we swapped scary stories.
We also talked about Sharon.
Like Cheryl, I’ve been worried and paranoid for myself and for my friends ever since Sharon’s disappearance and her murder. It’s really hard to think of what happened to her. Why would someone do something like that? It drives me crazy, and it makes me scared.
Did you know that the number of missing men far exceed the number of missing women? Cheryl told me she read an article about that. The only reason why we don’t hear much about these missing men is because the media doesn’t consider it “news worthy.” What exactly do they consider “news worthy”?
When Sharon initially disappeared, I looked up some sites on missing persons, and it shocked me to see how many missing people there are just in the city of Los Angeles. How does the news single out just one person?
Which brings me to a show I watched for the first time tonight: Without a Trace. Christine likes watching it, however I had never really felt compelled to watch it. But since I had already seen the Law and Order episode airing the same time, I decided to give it a chance. It’s interesting to see the steps they took to try and find the missing girl, and I couldn’t help but wonder if the police or the FBI or anyone put in the same effort to look for Sharon… if they are still putting in that effort to find who killed her. I hope they are.
Some lighter news… I took my math midterm this morning. I stayed up late last night, studying for it, and I think I did well. ::knocks on wood:: I also got back my CS quiz and my second assignment, both of which turned out really well. I’m happy with how my classes are going so far. I hope that it continues to go well the rest of the semester. Two months and counting…
