Law School News

A couple of weeks ago, we found out that our Contracts professor, Stallworth (a.k.a. Stally,) had resigned. The email the dean sent out alluded to health problems contributing to his decision. It came as a real huge shock. I think it’s such a great loss to the school, and I can’t imagine any first year curriculum without him teaching contracts. It’s sad just thinking that no one will be able to have him as a professor. Hopefully, it will only be temporary.
Our track purchased a huge frame from Pottery Barn and we’re going to write our well wishes for him on it with his most famous quotes in the middle. Get better soon, Stally!
Today was also my last Corporations class. I absolutely LOVED my professor. Loved her. She was awesome, and I think she, by far, has made my law school experience worth it. I’ll be taking her again next semester for Professional Responsibility =)
Bar results came back this month for the July 2004 test and there’s been good news so far. Congrats go out to Jarrod who is now officially a lawyer :) and to the rest of the graduates who made it. The overall pass rate was 62% for all first time takers. That’s a scary number if you ask me. I’ll hopefully do well enough to squeeze into the top 62% of the thousands who do take it.
